AKC is GONE! But we still LIVE! New Domain Coming Soon!

Fri, Feb 13th 2009: angieskidney.com is no more because we lost the domain due to reasons beyond our control. But instead of getting mad at the person responsible, we have decided to just move on and get a brand new domain name! So look for updates on sites like RSN's KidneySpace and Shay's KidneyFun for updates on what our domain will be and when it will be ready!

AKC is BACK!

Sun, Jan 18th 2008: Angieskidney.com is back up! After we lost our domain name (the angieskidney.com name) we finally got ahold of our contact who originally set it up for us and he transferred the godaddy.com account over to us. So now we are set up for another year and have the ability finally to renew year after year! Woohoo!!

Also, just as we got our domain name back, you might have noticed once again our host (urldownload.com) went down again. Thanks to Sandman for being right on top of things and repairing the corrupt database things are back to normal.

We can't promise the database won't go down again but at least the angieskidney.com name will be here to stay!

AKC Forum Downtime Jan 3rd 2009

Sat, Jan 3rd 2009: The forums are down again but this time I got a reply by 4pm EST. It is not the answer we want. This effects the future of the forums we worked so hard on at angieskidney.com/smfbb/.

Here is the email sent to me regarding this current and previous downtimes in the last month:


We have also removed SMF from our list of easy installation 
software.  We have over 100 phpbb forums running on your server
and nothing has occurred to them. Anytime we upgrade anything 
related to MySQL the SMF forum software has an issue.

I'm sorry but we have to keep updating the software in order 
to keep the server secure. Please send me your paypal address 
so that I can refund some money.

So I am not sure how this will work since payment were through a man in Montreal Quebec who I haven't been able to get ahold of for months since we paid for a year (I pay him from my paypal and then he paid Alex) and on top of this the database is corrupt so I can't just simply move over to a phpbb forum as Alex seems to suggest yet he won't fix the smf database neither. Another worry I have is that we might lose the angieskidney.com name since I can't get ahold of that guy in Quebec who set this all up for us. So as it is right now, it is looking like this is the end for AKC.

I am really sorry but I might have to let let you all down but Please remain patient and thanks for standing by us through out all of this. If worse comes to worse I will be around on www.kidneyfun.net and www.kidneyspace.com.

Also still feel from to email me any questions as I have experience with APD, CAPD, CCPD, in-center HD and 2 kidney transplants (both cadaver) and know a little about both the Canadian and American Health Care systems or resources for more info on those. Feel free to check out our links page.

AKC Forum Back Up!

Sat, Dec 17th 2008: angieskidney.com/smfbb/ forums are back up. We were not told the cause this time so we have no clue how long it will stay up this time but are keeping track of our downtime so that your donations don't go to waste. We care about our members.

Please be patient if there is any more down time as we have a monitor keeping track so no need to let us know.

Sat, Dec 8th 2008: angieskidney.com/smfbb/ forums are back up as of 6pm. It was a server malfunction that has been rectified by the server administrator who keeps our site up and running while we do all the custimizations.

AKC Forum Downtime Dec 6th 2008

Sat, Dec 6th 2008: The forums have suddenly went down at 1pm Saturday and it appears that this happened server side so we are trying to contact them to recify this issue. So for now there is no forum available at angieskidney.com/smfbb/. We have also posted for advice on the SimpleMachines.org since our forum platform is SMF (Smart Machines FOrums) but have not gotten any responses as of yet from them.

For now you can just contact me by clicking the link in the side menu if you have any more questions.
