The transplant games are now only 3 weeks away.  I can't wait to go.  Today I was invited to the Univeristy of Wisconsin hosts reception as well as a Get Connected event.  As per my doc, there will be many powerful people in the world of transplant at these events.  I am so excited to be a part of it.  My doc has also invited me to a dinner with some other people in the transplant field.  I am so lucky to have a doctor in Wisconsin who is really connected and involved in his patient's lives.

That sounds very exciting Jules.  I know this will be a good time for you all. The transplant games are so much worth going to all the way around.

Transplant Yes!

« Reply #27 on: July 31, 2010, 08:04:23 AM »

Sorry to hear that Mojoat.  We are here now enjoying the rain and cloudy weather and looking forward to the hopefully dry 5K a little later this morning.  Madison is a pretty city surrounded by several lakes.  Lots of opportunities here for water sports from many parts of the city. There are tons of patients, family members, and donor families here.  This is a huge event.

Today at the Transplant Games we did the 5K walk, some other walking around, and attended the tailgate party and opening ceremonies.  I ran into a friend from Kidney Korner, Jules 17 who is here with team St. Louis.  Here are a few pictures from earlier today.
